Each stamp shows a portrait of the pope, made during this visit. Connected with every stamp are 2 labels. One shows the coat of arms of the Vatican and a quotation of the pope. The other label shows the Polish coat of arms and the names of the places visited by the pope. The coat of arms is not correct for the years 1979, 1983 and 1991, when the Polish eagle didn't wear a crown.
